Oklahoma motorcycle rules
| Permit | Motorcycle learner permit (restriction 'A') from age 14: rider must be receiving instruction from a parent, legal guardian or any person 21 or older with a valid Oklahoma license with motorcycle endorsement who has visual contact with the operator; must meet regular license requirements; learner restriction can be removed 30 days after the permit is issued (14-15-year-olds must hold the permit at least 30 days before the driving test). 14-15-year-olds need a custodial parent/guardian to sign and accept financial and legal responsibility. Under 18 must complete a certified state-approved motorcycle basic rider course (since August 26, 2016) (Driver Manual pp. 7, 10, 14). |
|---|---|

Restrictions lift automatically at 16 (Driver Manual pp. 7, 14). |
| Helmet law | Partial: a helmet is required for anyone under 18 (Driver Manual pp. 7, 14). |
| Eye protection | Motorcycles must have a windshield of sufficient quality, size and thickness to protect the operator from foreign objects; otherwise the operator must wear ANSI-approved goggles or face shield material (Driver Manual p. 53, citing state statutes). |
