Reverse Curve sign
Two curves in opposite directions separated by less than 600 feet.
What to do
Reduce speed and stay in your lane through both curves.
Reduce speed before the first curve so you stay in your lane as the road swings back the other way.

Where it's used
Section 2C.07 says a Reverse Curve (W1-4) sign should be used instead of two Curve signs where two curves bend in opposite directions with less than 600 feet of straight road between them. It is a black-on-yellow diamond with an S-shaped arrow, made in left and right versions according to the direction of the first curve. It may be paired with an Advisory Speed plaque or combined with a side-road symbol (W1-10 series) when an intersection is in the curves.
Don't confuse it with
- Reverse Turn: Reverse Turn has sharp right-angle bends for slower turns (30 mph or less), while Reverse Curve has gentle bends.
- Curve: The Curve sign warns of a single curve, while Reverse Curve warns of two curves in opposite directions.
- Winding Road: Winding Road is for three or more curves, not two.
