End Work Zone Speed Limit sign
Marks the end of a reduced work-zone speed limit.
What to do
The normal speed limit applies again after this sign.
Return only to the normal posted speed limit after the sign, and stay alert for any remaining work vehicles.
Regulatory sign used in temporary traffic control.
Where it's used
Section 6G.08 allows an END WORK ZONE SPEED LIMIT (R2-12) sign at the downstream end of a reduced work zone speed limit, which may be marked at its start by a WORK ZONE (G20-5aP) plaque above the Speed Limit sign. It is a vertical black-on-white regulatory sign. The same section covers BEGIN and END HIGHER FINES ZONE signs used in work zones where fines are increased.
Don't confuse it with
- End Road Work: END ROAD WORK is an orange sign marking the end of the work zone, while this white sign ends the reduced speed limit.
- End School Speed Limit: END SCHOOL SPEED LIMIT ends a school speed zone rather than a work zone limit.
- Speed Limit: The Speed Limit sign gives the limit that applies; this sign only tells you the work zone limit has ended.
